What is included in the ballroom rental price?

Wolfgang Puck Catering is a full-service caterer that provides you with the following:

  • Tables
  • Classic White Basic Linens (Floor length linens are available at an additional cost)
  • Chairs
  • China
  • Glasses
  • Flatware

Do you have a boardroom to accommodate small meetings?

We do not have boardrooms; however, our smallest ballroom is ideal for a group of 50 people and can accommodate up to 200 people.

Does the room rental charge go towards the food and beverage minimum?

The rental charge is an additional fee and does not apply towards your food and beverage minimum.

Can I bring in my own entertainment, florist, etc?

Yes. Please ask your sales manager for our full event guidelines for additional information.

Is Aquarium admission required for our guests?

No, this is optional. Click here to review all aquarium activities available to enhance your event.

What do you need to hold a date?

Once you select a date with your sales manager and they confirm availability, we will send you a contract to confirm the date and times. We ask that you wait to send out any invitations for the event until all parties have signed the contract. The contract will need to be returned within 2 weeks along with deposit for date confirmation.

How much deposit is needed to hold a date?

The deposit consists of 50% of the combined room rental and food and beverage minimum charges. Your final payment is due five business days prior to your event.

Do you offer direct billing?

No, all payments are due in advance and we accept the following forms of payment: Check, Cash, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

What type of tables do you have?

  • 66 ½" Rounds
  • 30" and 36" High Boys
  • 48" Cocktail Rounds
  • 36" Cocktail Rounds
  • 6' or 8' Registration Tables

Please consult your sales manager for available quantity.

Can I setup Coat Check?

Yes, we do have coat check, and it is an additional charge based on group size. We require notice at least 14 days prior to the event to set up coat check.

Can you rent out the Indian Pre-Function?

This space is used as part of the ballroom space and is not rented individually.

If I rent out the entire Oceans Ballroom, can I use the Recognition Rotunda during the daytime?

No, the Recognition Rotunda is a part of the main aquarium and is not available for private events.

Weddings FAQs


What is the average size of a wedding at the Georgia Aquarium?

Oceans ballroom can accommodate 800-1,200 people based on set up. Wedding events with fewer than 800 people may not need to use the entire ballroom. Please consult your sales manager on space needed and pricing for individual rooms.

*All events are based on a four hour time block with additional set-up time. Please consult your sales manager for available set-up times.

Can you rent out the Indian Pre-Function?

Can I bring in my own entertainment, florist, cake, linens, or décor?

Yes. Please ask your sales manager for our full event guidelines for additional information.

Is there a cake cutting fee?

We are delighted to slice and serve your cake at no additional charge if the cake is provided by Wolfgang Puck Catering. If the cake is provided by an outside vendor, we do apply a $2 per person cake cutting fee.

Can we substitute dessert selection for our own wedding cake to be served?

Yes, we will be happy to provide a champagne toast in lieu of dessert if you would like to provide your own wedding cake in place of Wolfgang Puck Catering dessert.
