Need to Know
Programming:
- All education programs meet Georgia Performance Standards (GPS).
- Instructor-Led Education Experience: $12 per student. This educational experience is one-hour long and includes Deepo's Undersea 3D Wondershow and a self-guided visit on the main Aquarium floor.
- Aqua Adventures Self-Guided Experience: $11 per student
- There is a minimum group size of 20 students for all education programs.
- Maximum number of students for instructor-led programs is 180 per time slot, divided into groups of no more than 30.
- Instructor-led programs being Aug. 23, 2010 and end May 20, 2011.
- Aqua Adventures program offered August through May.
Lunch:
Meal Voucher Lunch:
- Georgia Aquarium offers meal vouchers for $10 per person. Ask your sales manager about adding it to your reservation. Our meal voucher program allows you to have flexibility in the time you have lunch and it does not require that you reserve lunch seating.
Sack Lunch:
- We offer reserved lunch seating for up to 125 people with sack lunches.
- Groups with more than 125 people will not be permitted to reserve multiple lunch times.
- Students must be seated first.
- You are allotted 25 minutes to eat and five minutes to clean up. Groups should only arrive five minutes early.
- Georgia Aquarium lunch staff will transport lunches to the rotunda. School teachers must remove lunches from the bus.
- After lunch, you are responsible for transporting coolers/containers to the information desk for holding until you exit the building.
- Catered food delivered to the Aquarium is not permitted.
Chaperone Policy:
- Chaperones include all adults.
- Grades Pre-K - 2nd : 1 free adult per every 5 students (adults include teachers)
- Grades 3-12: 1 free adult per every 10 students (adults include teachers)
- All additional adults beyond the complimentary chaperone limit must be pre-approved and will be charged $25.50, which includes admission to the Aquarium and Deepo's Undersea 3D Wondershow.
Reservations and Payments:
- Reservations must be made at least 30 days prior to your visit.
- $100 non-refundable deposit per date is required at time of reservation.
- Date changes to your reservation must be made no later than three weeks prior to your confirmed date visit.
- If you are applying for admission through the Sponsored Education Admissions (SEA) program, do not make a reservation. A pre-existing reservation will disqualify you from the SEA program. All deposits are non-refundable.
- All payments are non-refundable.
- Balance due for Instructor-Led Education program 30 days prior to your visit.
- Balance due for Aqua Adventures Education program two weeks prior to your visit.
Bus Parking:
- The bus parking fee is $25, which will be added to your reservation. You have the option of declining bus parking when booking your visit.
- Unloading and loading zone is located on Luckie Street.
- Bus parking is available at the Marshalling Yard.
- Directions to the Marshalling Yard: From unloading zone on Luckie Street, turn left at next light onto Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. After the overpass, turn right, and the marshalling yard will be on your right.
- Directions to bus loading zone: From the marshalling yard, turn left onto Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. Cross over Luckie Street, and turn right onto Centennial Olympic Park Drive. Turn right onto Baker Street, then turn right onto Luckie Street.
