Many animals are at the mercy of their environments, and when a disaster occurs, these animals and their habitats can become endangered. The African Penguin and the Brown Pelican are two examples of animals in critical condition after catastrophic oil spills. It has flourished to the point that great measures need to be taken to keep its population at bay.
