What are the benefits of being a Georgia Aquarium Member?

Membership provides you the ability to visit Georgia Aquarium again and again for a whole year of imagination and wonder! How many guests are allowed with my Membership?

The family membership is valid for up to 4 members of your household.  Each member of your family will receive their own membership card.  Each individual membership is valid for that person only and is non-transferable.  Each membership card features a photo of the member.  If you have a Membership, you can purchase a Guest Annual Membership and bring a different friend or family member with you each time you visit. Discounts and promotions do not apply to Guest Pass purchases. Guest pass holders must be accompanied by primary annual pass holder for admission to the Aquarium at all times.

Do you offer a family membership?

YES! The family membership includes annual membership benefits for up to 4 members of your household, plus two free General Admission tickets (valid for one-time use during the year of membership). You may purchase memberships for additional family members at a 10% discount. This benefit is only available with the purchase of a Family Membership. Discounts and promotions do not apply to Family Membership purchases.

Do Members receive free parking?

Members do not receive free parking, but they do receive a 20% discount by logging into their online account and pre-purchasing parking or by showing their membership card at our Member Services desk.

I have a child under the age of three. Do they need a Membership or reservation?

Children under the age of three do not require a Membership or a reservation to enter the Aquarium. They’re welcome to enter with a Member or ticket-holding adult.

Is my Membership tax deductible?

No, your Membership is not tax deductible.

Can I buy a Guest Membership to share among my friends and family?

Yes, if you are a Member, you can purchase a Guest Annual Membership that can be used for admission when you bring friends and family. Guest memberships allow you to bring one guest per membership each visit - limit one Guest Annual Membership per Annual Member. All Membership cards and Guest Annual Memberships are issued for a specific person and are non-transferable. Discounts and promotions do not apply to Guest Pass purchases. Guest pass holders must be accompanied by primary annual pass holder for admission to the Aquarium at all times. Members may also use their member discount to purchase tickets for friends and family.

Do Members receive any hotel discounts?

How do I purchase a Membership?

Purchasing online is easy: simply Select the Membership that's right for you and your family! Purchasing online also saves you time. Once your purchase is complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that includes a Georgia Aquarium e-Ticket that you print at home. With this ticket, you can go directly to the Member Services Desk at Georgia Aquarium during your next visit to receive your Membership cards. You may also purchase a Membership by calling 404-581-4000, or during your next visit. 

What if I want to upgrade my Membership?

You may upgrade your Membership at any time during your Membership year. The expiration date of your current Membership will not change with upgrades. Upgrades are not available online. Visit Georgia Aquarium or call 404-581-4000 for complete details and upgrade options.

How do I take advantage of my member ticket benefits?

Visit our Member purchase page for your discounted member tickets to various Aquarium activities including Behind the Seas Tours. 

What is the procedure for getting my Membership card?

Members will pick up their actual card on their first visit to the Aquarium. Please bring your purchase receipt/order number to give to the cashier when you arrive. If you reserved a timed ticket online to visit the Aquarium, bring the receipt, which has a barcode on it. If you reserved a timed ticket through the Call Center, you will need your order number for entry. If you have any additional questions, please contact us at 404.581.4000. 

Can I get inside with just my Membership card?

Members can enter the Aquarium without a reservation using the Member’s Lane during normal operating hours. Guests of members will need to purchase a timed ticket for admission. Guest tickets may be purchased online or at the main entrance. We recommend purchasing your guest tickets in advance for weekends, holidays and school breaks. 

What communications do Members receive?

Members receive email updates on offers & discounts, events and news from Georgia Aquarium. 

How do I reserve a date and time to visit the Aquarium for admission and special events?

Visit our Member Ticketing Page and choose the date and time you would like to visit. You may be required to enter your user ID and password that you created when you first purchased your membership. Members are not required to make a reservation. However, we recommend making reservations for weekends, holidays, school breaks and purchasing tickets for your guests in advance. 

How do I take advantage of purchasing discounted tickets online for my guests?

Visit our Purchase Tickets page, login to your account, and select your ticket type. Your discount as a Member will be applied at check-out.

I bought an Annual Membership as a gift. How can the gift recipient make their own reservations?

Follow the steps below to transfer an Annual Membership to another account. You will need the email address of the person you are transferring the memberships to. 

  • Access the Member Login page
  • Can’t login? Please contact us at membership@georgiaaquarium.org
  • Enter your login and password.
  • Once you are logged in you will see a list of all memberships purchased through this website account.
  • Enter the name and the email address for the new account holder.
  • Check the boxes of the memberships that need to be moved into the new account.
  • Click the Transfer Annual Passes button to complete the process.
  • Your gift recipient’s new account will be immediately activated.
  • Your gift recipient can now make annual membership reservations online. They will need to follow these steps: 
    • Access the Member Login page
    • Can’t login? Please contact us at membership@georgiaaquarium.org
    • Scroll to the bottom of the login page and enter your email address to request your password. Your email address is your account login.
    • The website will immediately send you an email that shows your Georgia Aquarium login and password.
    • You can now use this information to login to your account, to review account details or to purchase guest tickets.
  • Don't forget to include our Membership Certificate with your gift!

I received a Membership as a gift. How can I make reservations?

Welcome to our Georgia Aquarium family of members. If you received a Membership as a gift and the gift-giver purchased the membership through our website, you can make your own reservations online. Please follow the instructions below to have the gift-giver transfer your membership to a new website account. Make sure you provide the gift-giver with your email address. 

  • The gift-giver needs to do the following:
  • Access the Member Login page
  • Can’t login? Please contact us at membership@georgiaaquarium.org
  • Enter your login and password.
  • Once they are logged in they will see a list of all memberships purchased through this website account.
  • They should enter your name and email address as the new account holder.
  • By clicking the appropriate boxes next to the names on the list they can move your memberships into the new account.
  • To complete the process, click Transfer Annual Passes.
  • The new account will be immediately activated.
  • Once this process is complete, you can make Annual Membership reservations online by following these steps: 
    • Access the Member Login page
    • Can’t login? Please contact us at membership@georgiaaquarium.org
    • Scroll to the bottom of the login page and enter your email address to request your password. Your email address is your account login.
    • The website will immediately send you an email that shows your Georgia Aquarium login and password.
    • You can now use this information to login to your account, to review account details or make Membership reservations.

How do I stay informed about Georgia Aquarium?

You are able to opt-in to our email subscriptions during the Membership purchase process. We offer monthly newsletters and special offers. You can opt-out or updates your preferences at any time using our email preference center.

I’m having difficulty printing my electronic ticket.

If you bring your order number or your order confirmation with a photo ID, we can access your order in our ticketing system to issue your permanent annual membership. Please reserve a time for your visit for the most expedited entry. 

I need a refund on a ticket or Membership.

There are no refunds for purchased tickets or Memberships. Date changes can be made 24 hours PRIOR to the date of the reservation for a minimal processing fee per ticket. Date changes are not allowed after the date of the original ticket.

I need to make a change to my Membership order.

What are the terms and conditions of purchasing a Georgia Aquarium Membership?

  • Your Georgia Aquarium Membership is a revocable license and is valid only for use by the person identified on the card.
  • Georgia Aquarium may refuse admission to, or eject Card Holder thereof, if Holder is deemed disorderly or fails to comply with these terms or any security measures.
  • Georgia Aquarium assumes no responsibility and Holder expressly assumes all risk for accident, lost or stolen personal property, or personal injury. 
  • There is no carry-in food or beverage allowed in the Aquarium. 
  • All persons and bags are subject to search and security checks. 
  • Photography, video, pictures or reproductions thereof in any form taken at the Aquarium are not to be used for commercial purposes. 
  • Card Holder grants to the Aquarium the irrevocable permission to use his or her image, likeness, voice or sound recordings in any media and for any purpose whatsoever and without compensation. 
  • Membership Cards are non-transferable and are not for unauthorized resale or promotional use (including, but not limited to, contests, sweepstakes and giveaways) without the prior written permission of the Aquarium.
  • Duplication of Membership Cards is strictly prohibited.
  • Members are able to purchase one Guest Pass per Membership. Discounts and promotions do not apply to Guest Pass purchases. Guest pass holders must be accompanied by primary annual pass holder for admission to the Aquarium at all times.

My reservation is for 10 a.m. but the next slot is at 11 a.m., can I only stay for one hour?

The time on your ticket only dictates when you may enter the Aquarium. Once you’ve entered the Aquarium, you can stay until the Aquarium closes. We use a timed ticket entry system to control the flow of visitors and to ensure that you have a pleasant visit.

I do not want to renew my Membership online. Is there another way to renew?

For fast, courteous service please call 404-581-4000 to renew your Membership. You may also renew during your next visit to Georgia Aquarium. 

What do I do if I don't receive an email attachment with a barcode?

You can bring your order number to the ticket window along with a photo ID and have a new ticket issued. Also, be sure to check your spam or junk folder to see if was automatically sorted.
