Frogs: A Chorus of Colors introduces visitors to the amazing and colorful world of anurans - the frogs. Regarded as the most advanced traveling frog exhibition in the U.S., visitors will come eyeball to eyeball in a hands-on, minds-on adventure with living frogs from around the world. This fascinating exhibition features 15 species of live frogs in more than 3,000 square feet of unique habitats designed to introduce guests to these complex amphibians, their biology and evolution, the pivotal role they play in our ecosystem and the peril they face in a changing environment. Within the exhibition, visitors will enjoy interactive and hands-on components that activate recorded frog calls, videos of frogs in action, spin a zoetrope, and test frog knowledge on subjects from basic to bizarre. Throughout the exhibition, visitors are immersed in the sights and sounds of frogs.

Frogs - A Chorus of Colors is included with the Total Ticket and is free to Aquarium members.

Get To Know Your Wild Neighbors Contest

Get To Know Your Wild Neighbors Contest
April 7 - July 16, 2012

National partners the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Wildlife Federation, Association of Zoos & Aquariums, National Recreation and Park Association, Wildlife Habitat Council, Wildlife Forever, Outdoor Afro and the Get to Know Program are working together to encourage American youth to get outdoors and connect with nature through the 2012 Get to Know Contest. The contest invites young people to spend more time outdoors and submit original works of art, writing, photography, video or music inspired by the natural world.

Art, writing, photography, video and music entries can be submitted online at Get-To-Know.org between April 7 - July 16, 2012. Entries will be available for viewing online during the contest run. Contest winners will receive prizes, including an opportunity to attend an Art and Nature Camp at a National Park in Canada (for youth age 12 and over), where they will be joined by contest winners from Canada. Winning entries will also be published in the 2013 Get to Know Contest Calendar.

Georgia Aquarium’s 7th annual Fish & Chips Golf Tournament is the continuation of a great tradition. This event, held at the world class Peachtree Golf Club and an annual day of competition and camaraderie on the course, is a major fundraiser for the Georgia Aquarium. To date, this event has raised more than $1.2 million for education programs. Proceeds from this event have helped the Aquarium host more than 450,000 students through our education programs. In addition, they have allowed us to continue to improve and expand our educational offerings. Your support helps us guarantee a lasting legacy of awe, wonder and learning for future generations. Everyday Heroes Week & Family Safety Day

Georgia Aquarium, in partnership with a number of law enforcement and public safety agencies, is hosting the 4th Annual Family Safety Day, presented by Montlick & Associates, on May 19, 2012. With a special focus on child safety, the day will feature educational information and demonstrations with police, fire and public safety personnel and equipment. Children can enjoy special arts and crafts, learn about fire safety from Smokey Bear and get autographs and photos with their favorite mascots. These events are accessible and complimentary for all guests in the Aquarium.

DNA Lifeprint will be set up in the Aquarium's plaza, and is FREE for guests while supplies last, courtesy of Montlick and Associates

During the week of May 19-27, 2012, Georgia Aquarium is proud to recognize and show appreciation for our Everyday Heroes through a special discount offer. By presenting a police, fire, EMS or security badge or ID, all of our Everyday Heroes and their families will receive this special thank you.

These events are always free for Annual Pass members and available and complimentary for all guests in the Aquarium with general admission.

Enjoy and sample more than 200 fine wines from around the globe, gourmet fare from Atlanta's premier restaurants, a live, silent and wine auction and live music. All proceeds from Aqua Vino support the Aquarium's Veterinary Services through the Correll Center for Aquatic Animal Health.
