Weeki Wachee Mermaids Return to Georgia Aquarium!

Mermaids are real. Well, at least they are at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park in Florida, where generations of fans have watched them perform underwater shows since 1947. This season, Atlantans will enjoy a return holiday engagement by the Weeki Wachee Mermaids at Georgia Aquarium. These mermaids perform amazing choreographed routines, underwater! And this season, the mermaids will be performing prior to each showing of the live spectacular show, AT&T Dolphin Tales, offering an extra treat to an already exhilarating show. Like the AT&T Dolphin Tales show, the mermaid performances are included with your Total Ticket admission.

Mermaid Meet & Greet!

Due to its popularity, our December 15 Mermaid Meet & Greet is full. However, you can still purchase your ticket and reserve your spot for one of our AT&T Dolphin Tales shows to see the Weeki Wachee Mermaids while they're here (Dec. 12-15 and Dec. 19-23) and you can still pose for and purchase a special commemorative photo with a mermaid during those same dates. Begins Nov. 23: See SCUBA Claus, our own "Diving Santa"




The holidays wouldn't be complete without a visit from our very own underwater Santa, SCUBA Claus! Come face-to-face with Santa as he dons his specially-designed Santa wetsuit and plunges into the world's largest aquatic habitat, Ocean Voyager built by The Home Depot. He'll talk live to guests on the dry side in the Ocean Voyager theater after Thanksgiving Day through the weekend, then Thursdays - Sundays in December during the 12p.m. and 12:30p.m. dive show times.

Visit with Santa!

Time for a visit and a photograph with Georgia Aquarium's own seaside St. Nick! Santa is available for kids of all ages during scheduled dates and times, and is waiting to hear what all of Georgia Aquarium's guests hope for this holiday.

Strolling Carolers
Our own troupe of strolling carolers, appearing each weekend, will enhance your visit to the Aquarium this season.

See them Saturdays Dec. 15 & 22, 12-2pm, strolling through our Atrium and galleries.

Underwater Menorah
See the amazing underwater menorah in the world's largest aquatic habitat, Ocean Voyager built by the Home Depot. In celebration of Hanukkah and in accordance with tradition, another candle will be magically lit underwater each evening of the holiday.
