Explore the secrets of the Georgia Aquarium! Discover some of our most popular exhibits from a view that only a Behind the Scenes tour can give you! Get closer to the stars of the Aquarium (our animals) and learn about what it takes to keep the world's largest aquarium running.

  • All tours can be booked by individuals or by a group.
  • No high heels allowed on the tour.
  • Tours will not exceed 15 people.
  • Payment in full required at the time of booking. Booking can be made by calling the Georgia Aquarium call center at 404-581-4444 or at the ticket window.
  • There are no refunds for no-shows.
  • Date changes must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time of the tour.
  • All tours are subject to change due to medical procedures or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • No food or drink is allowed on the tour.

All participants will meet on the main floor in front of River Scout, presented by Southern Company. A Behind the Scenes Tour sign will identify the tour. The tour guide will arrive 10 minutes before the tour start time. All tours leave on time. Guests arriving up to 10 minutes late will be escorted to join the rest of the tour already in progress. No refunds will be issued for missing part or all of a tour.

Go behind closed doors to unlock the secrets of day to day operations at Georgia Aquarium. This tour is for ages 10 and up only.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Visit the top of the live coral reef exhibit where you will discover the secrets of the tropical waters and mangrove forest, located above Tropical Diver, presented by AirTran Airways.
  • Observe where the Aquarium team cares for the animals and prepares their food as you visit the Commissary and Veterinary Clinic.
  • Enjoy the view at the top of the largest ocean exhibit in North America (Ocean Voyager, built by The Home Depot), and observe the largest fish in the world, the whale shark, as it swims below you.
  • View the African penguins in the Correll Center Animal Care Suite.
  • Includes complimentary souvenir photo at the top of an exhibit.

Tour Times: Top of the hour from noon until 4 p.m. daily
Cost: $50 per person over general admission; $25 for Annual Pass Members
