Anthony Godfrey, CPA
President & Chief Operating Officer

As President and Chief Operating Officer, Anthony Godfrey oversees all operations within Georgia Aquarium. Godfrey joined the Aquarium in 2005 and previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of the Aquarium.

Godfrey graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. After graduation he relocated to Atlanta and worked for several high-tech companies such as VSI Enterprises, Inc., a videoconferencing software developer and manufacturing company. He served as controller and later as chief financial officer for more than nine years. Godfrey also served as corporate controller of Intown Suites, one of the nation’s largest extended stay hotel firms, for more than six years.

Godfrey is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Accounting Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Godfrey lives in Cumming, Georgia, with his wife, Lisa, and their two daughters, Lindsey and Ansley.
