Aquarium Mascot Announces Vice Presidential Candidate
'Michael Kelps' joins Deepo in his swim for the Oval Office
Atlanta, GA (September 3, 2008) –
Deepo, Georgia Aquarium’s mascot, announced his presidential swimming mate this morning in a press conference held at Georgia Aquarium. As Deepo addressed the crowd he proudly proclaimed, “it makes sense to have aquatic flora and fauna represented in my swim for the oval office and there is only one man fit to make the swim with me. Ladies and gentlefish I proudly announce ‘Michael Kelps’ will join me as my vice presidential candidate!”
Kelps waved to the crowd as he and Deepo swam side by side. “This presidential swim will create waves for the aquatic community and is only made possible by supporters like you,” Kelps told the crowd, “I am honored to be swimming alongside such a great candidate!”
Deepo’s campaign is solely supported through Oceans Society Members at Georgia Aquarium and, as Deepo reminded the crowd, “is the only presidential campaign where contributions are partially tax deductible.”
Supporters may join Deepo’s campaign on the web at deepo.org, visit Georgia Aquarium’s Members Entrance, or call campaign headquarters at 404-581-4010, and tell the campaign representative you want to support Deepo’s campaign by joining the Oceans Society.
