Visitor Tips

  • Book your tickets online and print your ticket out at home! Skip the line!
  • For the best experience, visit during the Aquarium's least frequented times, weekdays and mornings, and try to come early in the morning or late in the day.
  • Small strollers are best for navigating the Aquarium.
  • Jazz Journeys on Friday nights is a great time to visit the Aquarium for an adult-night out.
  • Expand your experience by adding one of our behind-the-scenes tours to your ticket.
  • Want to visit more than one attraction? Purchase a CityPASS or one of our many combo passes.

Behind the Scenes Tours

Best to book in advance, our Behind the Scenes Tours offer a backstage pass to all the care that goes into our beloved animals.

Journey with Gentle Giants

Swim or SCUBA dive in the Ocean Voyager exhibit, built by The Home Depot. Swims are daily at 3 p.m., and SCUBA dives are daily at 4:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. Spots are limited, so it's best to book in advance.

Growing Guppies

This program is designed to help your child (age 2-5) learn about the wonders of the ocean and its many inhabitants through crafts, puppets, storytelling and more! Occurs every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:15 a.m. Reservations are encouraged.

Aqua Vino provides guests an open door to explore the wonders of the ocean, against the beautiful backdrop of the Oceans Ballroom and the Aquarium's five galleries. Exclusively for one night, enjoy more than 200 fine wines from around the globe, gourmet fare from more than 30 of Atlanta's best restaurants, a live and silent auction and live music. Want to have breakfast with out biologists while hearing them talk about the many marine animals at the Aquarium and what goes on behind-the-scenes?

Then attend Breakfast with Biologists, our morning lecture series, where our biologists dine alongside you on a gourmet breakfast prepared by Wolfgang Puck Catering.

More of a night person, then attend Science on Tap, presented by Heineken. Our evening lecture series invites guests to enjoy Heineken, hors d'oeuvres and beverages while hearing our biologists' first-hand accounts of working with marine life.
