Programs at The Dolphin Conservation Center at Marineland
The Dolphin Conservation Center at Marineland, a partner of Georgia Aquarium, offers a wide variety of opportunities for meeting dolphins and experiencing them in their natural habitat. Programs range from up-close encounters at pool’s edge to kayaking nearby waterways. The following is a small selection of the programs currently offered.
The Quest program is your chance to swim,
swim and swim some more with these
incredible animals. This interactive program
was created with intimacy in mind, thus, only
4 guests can participate in this affair where
you join Marineland’s professional staff as
they allow you to play with the animals in a
way usually reserved trainers. And while you
will become familiar with the animals when
first immersed via our zero-entry beach, the focus is being in the deep water…where the real fun begins. Click here to see the full program details.
The Enhanced Immersion & Training Adventure is
a one-of-a-kind program, the science of dolphin
training meets the practicality of animal training.
You can work with Marineland’s dolphin trainers,
as well as professional dog trainers, to learn how
to apply marine mammal training techniques to
your at-home animal training practice. Spend the
day learning from the trainers and assisting with
dolphin training sessions to see how positive reinforcement-based training works with dolphins and how it can work with your four-legged friends as well. Click here to see the full program details.
Kayak Tours offer you the opportunity to explore a National Estuarine Research Reserve guided by a trained naturalist through a interactive program based on research, conservation, education that provides education on both the ecological and cultural landscape.
