Sponsored Admissions

Georgia Aquarium developed the Sponsored Education Admissions (SEA) Program in an effort to ensure that diverse audiences, regardless of economic status, have an opportunity to participate in these unique educational experiences at a reduced rate, or in some cases, free of charge. Through the generous contributions of local and national individuals, foundations and corporations, the Aquarium is able to provide Title I schools (Pre-K - 12) and nonprofit organizations serving Title I children, located within the state of Georgia, an opportunity to experience innovative educational programs designed to amuse and enlighten. The availability of funds will determine the number of students served.

Application Process

School Groups:

• Complete Sections I and III only.
• Fax completed application to (404) 581-4199, Attention: Sponsored Education Admissions.
• Upon receipt of your application we will send a notice of receipt within 48 hours via email.
• Within two weeks, you will be notified of the status of your application via email. If your date selections are not available, you will be given alternative dates from which to select via email
• Please email all queries to education@georgiaaquarium.org.
• If selected you must attend an orientation (for Instructor-Led Experience only).
• Do not make a reservation via online or through the call center. If selected, we will make your reservation.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• If selected, you will be notified within two weeks of receiving your application. The number of schools selected to receive sponsored admissions will be based on the availability of funds.
• Application deadline for submitting 2009-2010 Sponsored Education Admission applications is Friday, February 19, 2010 for schools.

Nonprofit Organizations:

• Complete Sections II and III only.
• Fax completed application to (404) 581-4303. Within two weeks, you will be notified of the status of your application via email.

• If selected, you must attend an orientation (for Instructor-Led Experience only).
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.

• Instructor-Led Education Experience (Title I Schools Pre-K - 12)
• Aqua Adventures Self-Guided Program (Title I Schools Pre-K - 12; Nonprofit organizations)
• General Admission (Nonprofit organizations)
  
  Please note: Do not make a reservation if you intend to apply for Sponsored Education Admission. Your deposit will not be refunded should your application be accepted.
  
  The availability of funds will determine the number of schools and/or organization selected to receive sponsored admission.
