Ten Million and Counting!

The Georgia Aquarium, which opened Nov. 23, 2005,  celebrated its 10 millionth guest Thursday, June 25, 2009!  Congratulations to Annette Kalber, of Atlanta, GA, who is the Aquarium's 10 millionth guest. Bernie Marcus, the Aquarium mascots and their friends joined in the celebration of this milestone.

Fun Facts

• More than 107,361 Deepo plush animals, 38,162 plush otters and 28,633 plush penguins have gone home with guests.
• Since the launch of the Journey with Gentle Giants program in July 2008, more than 4,500 people have gotten wet in Ocean Voyager.
• More than 2,600 private events have taken place at the Aquarium.
• More than 1,830,749 people have enjoyed Deepo's Undersea 3D Wondershow, which has played 19,627 times since opening.
