Come admire the Aquarium's aquatic ceiling mural!
For the past several weeks, Silvio Irilli, a famous Italian artist, has been painting a mural in Georgia Aquarium’s entrance. Much like Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel, Silvio has been working non-stop each night, as he covers the ceiling of the entrance with his masterpiece.
Silvio’s creation depicts Georgia Aquarium’s amazing whale sharks, beluga whales, cownose rays and the quickly approaching arrival of bottlenose dolphins. Guests have been overwhelmed by Silvio’s beautifully detailed mural that hints at the stunning animals they are about to encounter. Now that Silvio’s work has been completed, Georgia Aquarium invites you to admire this incredible work of art!
