After everyone has gone home, and the Aquarium has closed its doors for the night, we invite you to join us for an exciting night of exploration. Explore the Georgia Aquarium after hours and sleep beside one of our world-class exhibits. The Aquarium offers family sleepovers and adult sleepovers.

Sleepovers include Aquarium admission, Deepo's Undersea 3D Wondershow, Behind the Scenes Tours, guided adventure through the galleries, a sleeping mat, fun activities, light supper and breakfast and waking up next to one of our amazing exhibits.

Group and Family Sleepovers

"Ocean Odyssey"
This program is designed for grades 2-5. Let the Georgia Aquarium staff take your group on a cruise aboard the “SS Star” through the deep waters of the ocean and its coral reefs. The program focuses on the aquatic animals and habitats including sharks and whales and what you can do to help preserve these wonderful resources. Get ready to explore the Aquarium through a variety of special activities, tours, animal encounters and more!

"Ocean Lights"
This interactive program designed for middle school students, grades 6-8, takes them on a scientific journey. They will explore geological oceanography, which focuses on the topographic features and physical makeup of the ocean floor; meteorological oceanography, which pertains to the study of the ocean’s interaction with the atmosphere and the effect on weather and climate; and biological oceanography, which concentrates on deep ocean animal life. This program is also perfect for Boy Scouts earning their Oceanography badge.

All programs listed above meet Georgia Performance Standards (GPS), as well as Cub Scout, Brownie and Junior Girl Scout requirements. Special programs are available on Scout days to meet patch requirements.

Looking for a special Birthday Celebration? For an additional $100, you can have cake and ice cream for up to 20 people, as well as a special behind-the-scenes experience, added to your sleepover. Ask your reservationist about adding this to your program.

Adult Sleepovers
Looking for an interesting way to relax in a fun, easy-going social setting? The Aquarium has the perfect event for you! The "Adults Only" Sleepovers from May-September include live jazz in the atrium, and all sleepovers include Behind the Scenes and Gallery Tours, as well as fun activities for all.

Who:  Adults ages 21 and older
Time: 7 p.m. - 9 a.m.
Cost: Members: $75.00 per person; Non-members: $100.00 per person
