Celebrate World Oceans Day with the Georgia Aquarium on June 8, 2010 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Aquarium's Oceans Ballroom. Join us as we use the world's largest aquarium, Atlanta's own ocean, to teach guests about the wonders of the oceans and how they effect us everyday.

In honor of World Oceans Day, we are also celebrating the 50th birthday or Dr. Seuss's "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" with lots of giveaways, activities, games and more! Activities and giveaways include:


  • Dr. Seuss activity booklets

  • Temporary tattoos

  • "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" bookmarks

  • Arts and crafts stations including crown decorating, "One Fish, Two Fish, Who are you fish?" nametags and much more

  • Special Dr. Seuss poster contests throughout the day

  • The Home Depot Kids Workshop where kids can build a dolphin towel rack

  • Eco-friendly partner pavilion


  • The World Oceans Day Celebration will take place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Aquarium's Oceans Ballroom. Guests will have an opportunity to learn about what they can do to help protect our oceans, how to promote conservation of the environment and eco-friendly products and partners they can support in our eco-friendly partner pavilion.

    World Oceans Day events are complimentary for all guests in the Aquarium, and as always, free for Annual Pass Members. Activities and giveaways are based on availability. Arrive early so that you don't miss a thing!
