Georgia Aquarium Releases Fall Bounce Pass Ahead of Holiday Season

Georgia Aquarium is launching a brand-new Fall Bounce Pass as a seasonal offer for all guests. The pass provides unlimited general admission to the Aquarium through the remainder of 2023, until December 31, for the same price as a one-day ticket.

The Fall Bounce Pass is only available for purchase through Tuesday, October 31, online at georgiaaquarium.org. There are no residency restrictions, so all guests can purchase a single pass for $47.99 plus tax, the same price as a single-day ticket.

This Fall Bounce Pass is a special seasonal perk for Georgia Aquarium’s guests. This pass will give visitors unlimited access to the Aquarium’s eight galleries featuring over 11 million gallons of water and home to thousands of animals, including whale sharks, manta rays, rescued southern sea otters, hammerheads, beluga whales, and many more. During the holiday season, guests will also get to enjoy special theming throughout the Aquarium, including ‘Haunted Seas at Georgia Aquarium’ this Halloween season and ‘Holidays at Georgia Aquarium’ coming this winter. The Fall Bounce Pass is the perfect way for guests to experience all Georgia Aquarium has to offer for the holidays at an unbeatable value. The Aquarium also offers two animal presentations that showcase sea lions’ and dolphins’ unique behaviors and training techniques; these performances will also be specially curated for the holidays. It’s the most wonderful time of the year to take advantage of this special pass offer.

“The holidays are a special time at Georgia Aquarium. We have numerous events and surprises planned over the next few months that will allow our guests to experience the Aquarium in a way they never have before,” said Dan Dipiazzo, chief marketing officer at Georgia Aquarium.  “We are excited to offer this new pass as an opportunity for guests and their families to visit the Aquarium throughout the rest of 2023 and experience all we have to offer for the price of just one visit.”

For guests looking for an upgraded experience, the Aquarium offers several membership options that provide 12 months of unlimited access to the Aquarium and discounts on parking, animal encounters, events, and additional tickets. Guests can also add on to their visit with Georgia Aquarium experiences and encounters. Take a look behind the scenes at some of the Aquarium’s most popular exhibits during a Behind the Seas Tour. Get up-close and personal with African penguins, sea otters, belugas, and some of your favorite animals at Georgia Aquarium during an animal encounter; or get in the water with whale sharks and manta rays in our Journey with Gentle Giants Swim or Dive. Proceeds from Fall Bounce Pass purchases, memberships, encounters, and tickets all contribute to Georgia Aquarium’s initiatives, giving the Aquarium the continued ability to provide educational experiences to guests conduct research on species like whale sharks, and aid animals in need of a home or rescue.

Fall Bounce Pass holders will receive unlimited visitation to Georgia Aquarium for the remainder of 2023, ending on December 31. This pass is subject to blackout dates listed on the website. Passholders will be required to make a reservation before each visit, which can be done by logging into their account at georgiaaquarium.org. Beluga Calf Born at Georgia Aquarium

MAY 25, 2020 (ATLANTA) – A [not-so-little] bundle of joy has arrived at Georgia Aquarium. Whisper, a 20-year-old beluga whale at Georgia Aquarium gave birth to a calf at 3:17 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Whisper’s calf weighed 174 pounds at birth and is five feet four inches in length.

“We are so proud of Whisper and overjoyed to welcome her calf to our Georgia Aquarium family,” said Dennis Christen, senior director of zoological operations, mammals and birds at Georgia Aquarium. “We will be there right alongside the calf as it continues to grow and learn from Whisper.”

Whisper had a long labor, but with assistance from the Aquarium’s animal care and health teams she delivered her calf. Both Whisper and her calf are getting much needed rest and time to bond.

Georgia Aquarium’s animal care and health teams are monitoring Whisper and her calf around-the-clock. There are still milestones ahead for the little whale over the next several weeks, which are crucial for its development and the bonding experience.

Dr. Tonya Clauss, vice president of animal and environmental health at Georgia Aquarium stated, “Our animal health team is continuing to monitor Whisper and her calf. The coming weeks are important for the calf’s development and there are milestones to meet so we’re giving mom and calf all the support and time they need.”

Georgia Aquarium’s other beluga whales, Qinu, Maple, Nunavik, and Imaq are all doing well. They are currently in a separate area of the exhibit and will be introduced to Whisper and her calf when it’s appropriate.

“This birth is important not only for Georgia Aquarium, but all accredited zoological facilities. Our hope is to sustain the beluga whale population in North America so future generations can learn about them,” said Eric Gaglione, vice president of zoological operations at Georgia Aquarium. “Throughout Whisper’s pregnancy we tracked important data about beluga whale gestation that could hopefully make informed conservation decisions about belugas in the wild and their offspring.”

The full birth story, behind-the-scenes moments, and some surprise details will air in an Animal Planet special on May 30, 2020 at 10 p.m. EST. Stay tuned to Georgia Aquarium’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates as the calf continues to grow.

The Aquarium is currently closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the Aquarium reopens there are numerous factors to consider before opening the beluga whale habitat for public viewing of Whisper and her calf. There may be periods when the calf is not visible, or the habitat is closed.
