The Georgia Aquarium Team is comprised of approximately 600 staff; these enthusiastic and extraordinary people possess a wide variety of skills and talents, all necessary to make Georgia Aquarium run. With a team this vast, the Human Resource (HR) team onboards and supports these dedicated team members in being able to do their jobs competently and safely while providing the very best experience possible to over 2 million guests a year. The HR team handles full cycle recruitment, benefits, payroll and employment law.
The Human Resources Intern will focus on employee recruitment, benefits, payroll, and record keeping. Utilizing ad hoc projects, the intern will also be responsible for assisting with staff orientation on bi-weekly basis.
At the end of the internship, the intern will be educated in the fundamentals of HR, best practices within the industry, and the relationship between these departments in a large nonprofit organization.
