The Science of Beer

Do you drink beer and wonder how it’s made? It might seem as simple as combining water, hops, and yeast and fermenting it, but did you know there’s actually a delicate science behind how those ingredients are combined?

Join us at Science on Tap, presented by SweetWater Brewing Company on April 20 at 5:30pm. Hear how Matt Bernstein, SweetWater’s Quality Lab leader, uses science and chemistry to create wonderful masterpieces. Beer is versatile and can range from sours to lagers to IPAs. Happy hours, BBQs, and tailgates would not be the same without it.

Did we mention a beer tasting is included?

Science on Tap welcomes Georgia Aquarium’s 21+ guest for a creative and fun lesson on how science is present in our everyday lives. Come and learn from the experts while enjoying some food and beer. See you there.
