STEAM Series
October 28, 2017
9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Often called the “rainforests of the ocean,” coral reefs occupy only 1% of the marine environment and yet are home to more than 25% of all marine life. They are disappearing at an alarming rate, largely because of human behavior, such as water pollution and dangerous fishing practices. Come meet a curator and learn more about the diverse coral reef community, the challenges reefs face, and restoration efforts currently being conducted. Gain knowledge and discover the many hands-on ways to integrate conservation into your national and local STEAM curricula and content requirements.

Georgia Aquarium is excited to collaborate with Zoo Atlanta, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and the High Museum to present this fantastic STEAM series for educators.
