Can't make it to the Aquarium? Let us float on over to your school – for free! Georgia Aquarium Educators will bring a variety of animals and boatloads of fun facts to engage your students with the aquatic world. Each program is aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards to help you incorporate this unforgettable experience into your curriculum. Please contact outreach@georgiaaquarium.org for more information about this exciting opportunity.

Program Options

Aqua Tales (Grades PreK-K)
Program Length: 30 minutes
Let our animals bring your classroom’s next story time to life. Aqua Tales will engage your students in a short story by bringing the animals off the page and into your classroom. Students will also participate in interactive activities that will help get them into character.

Natural Necessities (Grades 1-2)
Program Length: 45 minutes
Look for the bare necessities… During this program students are introduced to some of the wonderful creatures that inhabit our world. Students use their senses to examine these animals and compare the ways in which they meet their basic needs. The teacher guide for this program is available here.

Coastal Critters (Grades 3-5)
Program Length: 45 minutes
Bring the Georgia coast to your classroom! Students explore some of our coastal animals and their coastal habitats. Students identify adaptations these animals possess to help them survive and classify them into groups based on their similarities and differences. The teacher guide for this program is available here.

If you are a classroom teacher for grades 6-12, your Outreach Coordinator is happy to work with you to design a program that fits your needs! Please contact outreach@georgiaaquarium.org to start a collaborative conversation.
