Patrick D. Starnes, Senior Vice President of Construction & Facility Operations

With more than 40 years of experience in Construction, Facility Operations, Project Management. Patrick has worked in both public, private and government sectors providing constructions management, and facilities Operations. Past companies were Duke Energy, The State of Georgia, Heery International, JLL (former Jones Lang LaSalle) Some notable Projects Patrick has done are Catawba Nuclear Power Plant, 184 bed critical care unit, three story condo, and 24 bed assistant living for The Methodist Homes. Two 30 story high-rise in down town Birmingham Alabama for Regions Bank. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick GA. This Project was Named (The Paul Coverdale Training Center) and Dedicated by President George Bush.

Patrick was a Multi-Site Senior Project Manager for clients like Family Dollar, Sunbelt Rentals and BI-LO Supermarkets where he did project all over the US. Patrick was a Senior Project Manager/ Owner Representative for the Dolphin Expansion, The under story, the beluga work, penguin, and Quarantine here at the Aquarium. Since then in 2015 Patrick came onboard with the Aquarium as Vice President of Construction and Facility Operations. Then moved to Senior Vice President of Construction and Facility Operations. Where we have open new exhibit like the Sea Lion exhibit, the New warehouse/Animal Care Facility, Puffins exhibit, Alligators exhibit, Re-design of the Atrium, New Shark exhibit, New Gift Shop, New entry and several upgrades to other gallery’s.

He and his wife Jelly have two daughter’s Sarah 16 years old and Brooke 15 years old. His hobby is being a Dad and golf.
