Georgia Aquarium is open to the public with limited attendance, which means you’ll get up close to the exhibits and not other visitors.

If you've visited us in the past, please note these changes have been put into place to keep our guests, staff, and animals safe:

  • Aquarium Entry

Entry to Georgia Aquarium will be scheduled in 30-minute timeslots. Your admission is only valid during the timeslot you select. Please arrive on time. This will allow us to ensure proper social distancing is maintained.

  • Masks Required

For the safety of our guests, team members, and our animals, Georgia Aquarium is requiring that all guests age 3 and up wear a mask covering their mouth and nose at all times. Masks will be available at our gate for those who might need one.

  • Reduced Capacity

Georgia Aquarium is limiting the number of guests allowed in the building at one time. This reduced capacity will allow guests to visit the Aquarium while staying an appropriate distance from other guests.

  • Temperature Screening

All guests must consent to a contactless temperature scan prior to entering the building. Any person exhibiting a fever (temperature of 100.4° or higher) will not be permitted entry.

  • Hand Sanitizer Stations

For added safety and convenience, you will find hand sanitizing stations located throughout the aquarium.

  • Plexiglass Barriers

You will find plexi-glass barriers installed at most major viewing windows to provide space for your group, and additional separation from other guests.

  • Social Distancing Markers

"Stay 6-feet Apart" social distancing markers have been placed throughout the aquarium as a reminder to maintain proper social distancing.

  • Air Filtration

The Aquarium conducts a 100% outside air flush twice daily to pull more fresh air from the outside into the building. Along with our hospital-grade MERV 8 pre-filters and MERV 13 on our rooftop units, we utilize a mix of UV lights and-Polar ION generators located inside our air handlers to help kill mold, bacteria, and viruses in the spaces.

  • Get Tickets Online

Tickets and timed reservations are only available online and need to be purchased in advance of your visit.

  • Where to Go

The main entrance is using no-contact turnstiles. Please follow signage onsite to the main entrance and have your ticket barcodes ready to scan from your phone or from your print at home ticket.

  • Parking

Everyone other space in the parking deck has been blocked off to allow for social distancing while unloading and loading your vehicle. You will also see signs to request the elevators are limited to one family group at a time.

  • Reserved Seating for Presentations

To allow for proper social distancing in the various theaters, seating is limited and secured using our on-site reservation system.

Georgia Aquarium is operating at a reduced guest capacity. Guests are asked to arrive at their ticketed time to ensure entry.
