Take in the sights and sounds of the holiday season in our atrium with holiday music, winter inspired projections, a water fountain display and our 40-foot live tree! Holiday Tree Lighting
Starting on November 11, join in on kicking off our holiday spirit with our daily tree lighting one hour after opening. Join Santa as he welcomes guests and wishes everyone a happy holiday season by lighting up our holiday décor, including our live 40-foot tree.
Photos with Santa Claus
No holiday season is complete without a snapshot with Santa. During your Aquarium visit, capture a photograph with Georgia Aquarium’s own seaside St. Nick. Holiday Themed Dolphin Presentation
Join us this holiday season at the Dolphin Coast Theater as we celebrate the spirit of giving. Beginning November 19th, we’ll be featuring The Most Wonderful Time of the Year – an exciting new presentation showcasing our amazing animals where our guests will learn all about the bottlenose dolphin in a fun and festive way.
A Merry Morning
Everyone is welcome to our merry morning, but for members, its free. Swim on by and enjoy a light breakfast from Wolfgang Puck Catering, decorate festive arts and crafts, and join-us for animal keeper talks, while getting into the holiday spirit. You’ll even have a chance for a selfie with Santa.
Scuba Claus
When St. Nick isn’t busy building toys or flying in his sleigh, he occasionally likes to take a dive with some of his favorite fish friends in one of the world’s largest marine habitats, Ocean Voyager, Built by The Home Depot. He doesn’t dive every day, and likes to surprise us when he does! Catch Santa if you can and take a quick selfie if you do.
Strolling Carolers
The holiday season is upon us, and we’re jingling, singing and celebrating all month long with our strolling carolers. This quartet will serenade and stroll through the aquarium spreading cheer and joy along the way. Get into the holiday spirit with us, as you hear and sing along to your favorite classic carols.

THE POLAR EXPRESS™ 4-D Experience

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer® 4-D Experience
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer shines in an all-new magical 4-D Experience®. When young Rudolph is teased for his red nose and runs away from Christmastown, he sets off on a series of adventures, meets new friends Hermey the Elf and Yukon Cornelius along the way, and escapes the clutches of the Abominable Snow Monster. When an epic snowstorm threatens Christmas, can he rescue his family and friends and help Santa save the holiday?
Toddler Time Holiday
Bring your toddler on a fun and educational adventure in Georgia Aquarium’s Oceans Ballroom. During each experience, children can participate in Coral Craft Time, visit Storytime Shore, shake their wiggles out during Jelly Jams, and meet a special guest. Each month, Toddler Time will last an hour and 15 minutes and feature a different theme.
New Year's Celebration
Join us at Georgia Aquarium to ring in the new year at Downtown Atlanta’s most unique New Year’s Eve party. You’ll experience exclusive after-hours access to all aquarium main galleries, live entertainment, cocktails and food, topped off with a midnight champagne toast to the new year.
