Sponsored Education Admissions

Georgia Aquarium offers the Sponsored Education Admissions (SEA) Grant to select Title I Schools in the State of Georgia. This grant provides free self-guided admission when visiting with a field trip, ensuring that diverse audiences, regardless of economic status, have an opportunity to experience the wonders of the Aquarium. We are able to provide the SEA Grant thanks to private charitable donations from generous corporations, foundations and individuals.

Eligibility Requirements

Title 1 School in the State of Georgia that receives at least 60% free/reduced lunch

Non-Profit Organizations with education as part of its mission are approved on a case-by-case basis

Submission of an application or if granted in previous school years does not guarantee approval.

The SEA Grant is offered based on availability of limited funds.


Application Information

Please Review the Following for Application Process & Requirements
  • Applications must be accurate and completed in its entirety to be considered
  • One application submitted per educator
  • Maximum of 150 students covered per application
  • Maximum of 3 approved applications per school
  • Approved groups from your school must visit on different days
  • Applications may take up to 6 weeks to be reviewed
  • If you submit a reservation form for a paid field trip, you will be disqualified from receiving the SEA Grant


  • Available Monday – Friday from August 15, 2022 – March 31, 2023. Unavailable during summer months.
  • Arrival times available between 9:30am – 3:30pm, subject to availability.
  • Entire group must be present before allowed entry to the Aquarium.
  • The SEA Grant only covers self-guided general admission and does not include the potential cost of transportation, parking, meals, or any other related field trip costs.
