Georgia Aquarium’s Manta Rays Test New Technology to Help Their Oceanic Counterparts 1

Honoring Service. Inspiring Healing.

Georgia Aquarium is proud to honor the courageous men and women of our armed forces through the Veterans Immersion Program. Since 2008, this unique experience has welcomed over 2,900 veterans and guests with physical, emotional, or psychological injuries—both seen and unseen.

Participants of all abilities are invited to swim or dive year-round in Ocean Voyager Built by The Home Depot, our 6.3 million gallon exhibit home to whale sharks, manta rays, and more. For many, it’s a rare opportunity to move freely in the water, face new challenges, and connect with the healing power of the ocean.

Each session is led by the world’s largest team of Handicapped Scuba Certified Dive Masters and Instructors, along with a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Our team ensures every guest receives the highest level of care, safety, and support.
