Whether you are a science teacher, an educator new to laboratory instruction, or an administrator responsible for classroom safety, this professional learning course provides the knowledge and skills needed to maintain a safe laboratory environment! Through hands-on activities, guided discussions, facility tours, and real-world scenarios, participants will learn how to properly use laboratory equipment, implement personal protective equipment requirements, manage chemical inventories, respond to emergencies, and develop effective laboratory safety procedures. This course also gives educators the chance to explore a properly organized laboratory and engage with experts in laboratory operations and safety. Participants will leave this course with a newfound confidence in managing laboratory spaces, resources that help support safe instruction, and a customizable laboratory manual template to help establish clear safety expectations in their own classrooms. Join us in this program designed for educators of all grade levels and subject areas who want to create a safe laboratory condition for all students exploring science!

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion. Event admission does not include entry to Georgia Aquarium.
