❄️A New Holiday Tradition Is Here: Meet WinterTide at Georgia Aquarium ❄️
The holiday season is getting a new name at Georgia Aquarium! This year, guests are invited to experience WinterTide, a festive new activation transforming the Aquarium into a shimmering winter wonderland from Friday, November 13, 2026, through Saturday, January 2, 2027.
This new experience will bring the spirit of the season to life throughout the Aquarium. With themed animal presentations, seasonal music and entertainment, festive characters, and the whimsical wonder of Santa’s Village. Whether starting a new family tradition or adding a little more wonder to a holiday outing, WinterTide offers something for guests of all ages.
A Sea of Holiday Magic
At the heart of WinterTide will be our transformed atrium filled with seasonal sights, sounds, and experiences. Guests can stroll beneath dazzling lights, take in a towering 40-foot LED tree, enjoy holiday-inspired animal presentations, and discover festive surprises throughout their visit.
Each day will bring opportunities to celebrate, including a daily tree lighting, seasonal food and beverage offerings, Santa’s Village, and appearances from cheerful holiday characters.
On weekends, the celebration will expand to bring even more festive energy to the Aquarium. With live musical performances from local groups, kids’ activities, and special holiday entertainment.
From dazzling lights and seasonal décor to festive food and beverages, WinterTide invites guests to reconnect with the magic of the holidays.
Celebrate the Season After Hours
For adults looking to make the holidays a little more festive, the Aquarium will also offer select after-hours experiences! Offering two WinterTide After Hours evenings and a special New Year’s Eve celebration.
WinterTide After Hours: Friday, November 20 from 7:30-10:30pm
WinterTide After Hours: Friday, December 18 from 7:30-10:30pm
New Year’s Eve Celebration: Thursday, December 31st from 9pm-1am
