The International SeaKeepers Society and Georgia Aquarium invite current in-classroom science educators grades 7-12 in Georgia to apply for a free two-and-a-half-day, three-night professional development opportunity in Miami, Florida. Through hands-on field experiences and research, teachers will use Biscayne Bay as a case study to explore anthropogenic impacts on different ecosystems found along coastal communities.
- Teachers will receive a Certificate of Completion for this professional development activity.
- All costs of this Professional Development such as travel, meals, accommodations, etc will be covered for all participants.
- Educators working in public schools, especially Title I schools, are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be able to swim and be comfortable on water for full day lengths of time.
