Sherry Gardner, Vice President of Development
Sherry Gardner, Vice President of Development at Georgia Aquarium, is an accomplished executive with 30 years’ experience providing comprehensive fundraising leadership and increasing support bases for non-profit organizations. She will lead the strategy, implementation, and execution of fundraising programs and institutional advancement for the non-profit Georgia Aquarium.
Prior to joining Georgia Aquarium, Sherry served as Development Director for Principal Gifts at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta where she was a leading contributor to the successful $1 billion campaign to build Arthur M. Blank Hospital and campus. She oversaw development operations at The Galloway School, leading them through two capital campaigns. Sherry began her Atlanta fundraising career as Director of Development for the School of Chemical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology during The Campaign for Georgia Tech. Earlier in her career, she served as Director of The University of Memphis Foundation and General Manager of the USA International Ballet Competition.
Sherry has a master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.
