Get ready to lace up your sneakers and join Georgia Aquarium’s 5K Walk/Run, returning for its ninth exciting year! This Peachtree Qualifier 3.1-mile course takes participants on a quick “out and back” journey through some of downtown Atlanta’s most iconic landmarks. Open to ages 8 and up, it’s perfect for runners, joggers, and walkers of all levels.

    Location: You can complete your 3.1 miles anywhere you’d like and at your own pace. Treadmill, the park, on the beach, it’s your choice.

In-Person Race Information

  • Time & Date: Our in-person race takes place at Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta, and starts on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 8:00am. You’ll be treated to an out-and-back 3.1-mile Peachtree Qualifier course through the streets of downtown.
  • Parking: Parking is available at Georgia Aquarium’s parking deck on the morning of the 5K for an additional price. Please use 246 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd NW on your navigation apps.
  • Participant Packet Pick Up: Packet Pickup information will be available soon.

Virtual Race Information

  • Time & Date: Participants choosing a virtual race can participate anywhere they’d like and at their own pace between 03/07 and 04/12. Whether those 3.1 miles are in your neighborhood, in a park, on a shoreline, or even a treadmill, simply submit your results on our site and enjoy bragging rights of helping our oceans.
  • Virtual Packet Delivery: For virtual participants outside the metro area or those unable to attend packet pick-up, your race packets will be mailed via USPS starting the week after the in-person event.
