This privacy policy describes what information we collect in connection with our website(s) (such as www.georgiaaquarium.org), mobile app(s), and related services, sales, marketing, and events, as well as other interactions with you (collectively, the “Services”), how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date and the updated version will be effective as of the “Last updated” date. INFORMATION COLLECTED

Personal information you disclose to us

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us. For example, you may provide certain personal information to us when using the Services, expressing an interest in obtaining information about us or our Services, participating in activities on the Services, or otherwise contacting us.

The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect can include the following:

• Identifiers. We collect information that can directly identify you, such as first name, maiden name, last name, nickname, current and former address, phone numbers, email addresses, birth, marriage, divorce, death records, family member names and their related information, and other similar information.
• Donation information. When you donate to us, we may collect information necessary to facilitate and administer your donation-related information, such as your name, email address, phone number, employer, and donation history.
• Commercial information. We collect purchase history, Services considered or obtained, and other similar commercial information.
• Credentials. We collect passwords, password hints, and similar security information used for authentication and account access.
• Payment information. We collect information necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment instrument number (such as a credit card number), and the security code associated with your payment instrument. No payment information is stored on our databases.
• Visits to Georgia Aquarium. We collect personal information you may provide or that we may capture during or in connection with your visits to Georgia Aquarium.
• Communication information. We collect personal information included in your communication with us, such as when you share feedback, content, experiences, suggestions, preferences, feedback, or other input.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Services. This information may include:

• Online identifiers and device usage information. We may collect online identifiers and device usage information, such as your IP address, cookie identifiers, browser and device identifiers or characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services and other technical information.
• Geolocation information. We may request access or permission to and track location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using our mobile application, to provide location-based Services. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.
• Mobile device access. • To operate our organization and Services. We use your personal information to operate our organization and Services. This includes providing the Services to you and others, fulfilling and managing your orders, payments, returns, and exchanges made through the Services, facilitating events, managing our relationships with you and others, reporting, monitoring, accounting, processing and administering donations, and other management activities, and any other activity relating to the operation of our organization or Services.

• Vendors, Consultants and Other Third-Party Service Providers. Examples include: payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service and marketing efforts. When you watch videos on the online Services, you agree that we may disclose your video viewing to or obtain information about your video viewing from analytics service providers, advertising partners and social media platforms.
• Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of assets, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, change of control, or other similar business transaction.
• Other entities. The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with third parties.

USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. Please note, we and our third-party service providers may monitor visits to the online Services and sessions of users; this monitoring may log the details of your visits to the online Services and information generated in the course of using the online Services, such as clicks, page visits, text entered, how long you spent on a page, and other details of your visits to or actions on the online Services. We use these technologies to collect and retain usage information for the purposes described in this privacy policy, including for marketing and security purposes and to improve your experience with the online Services. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION FROM MINORS

We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 18 years of age through our online Services. Account Information

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can contact us using the contact information provided below.

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms and Conditions, comply with legal requirements, or as otherwise in accordance with applicable law.

Cookies and similar technologies

Opting out of email marketing

You can unsubscribe from our marketing email list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send or by contacting us using the details provided below. You will then be removed from the marketing email list – however, we may still need to send you transactional or account-related emails as permitted under applicable law.

CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Some web browsers, mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals.

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS’ PRIVACY RIGHTS

For the purpose of California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, we do not share California residents’ personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

If your rights request is denied, you may lodge an appeal with us. The response to your rights request will inform you of any appeal rights you may have and how you may exercise them.

As required under applicable law, we will take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to information or acting on your request to exercise your rights. We may require you to provide your phone number, email address, and the date of your last transaction with us to verify your identity in response to exercising requests of the above type. We may limit our response to your exercise of the above rights as permitted under applicable law. When you submit a request to exercise your rights described above, we will use the information you provide to process your request and to maintain a record of your request and our response, as permitted under applicable law.

You may designate an authorized agent to request any of your rights on your behalf.
