Let's Get Ready for Camp

This guide is here to help you feel confident and prepared for your camper’s time at Georgia Aquarium.

Here, you’ll find everything you need to know about camp, from daily schedules and what to pack, to drop-off, pick-up, and safety procedures. While much of the information applies to all campers, some guidance varies by age group.

Campers Ages 5–13

The Georgia Aquarium Education department is dedicated to spreading passion and inquiry to all who enter our doors. Campers will have a whale of a time, meeting exclusively with experts, performing experiments, crafting new designs, and so much more. Camp runs Monday through Friday 9:00am to 3:30pm. Campers will explore the diverse organisms present at Georgia Aquarium, from tiny brine shrimp to the massive whale shark. Campers will discover aquatic realms from their local ecosystems to the distant arctic. Campers will visit all galleries and experience presentations!

Campers are highly encouraged to ask questions, participate in activities, and share their experiences with parents/ guardians. With enough inspiration, we can work together to create a sea of change in our local waterways down to the ocean creating lasting impacts for the wondrous life that inhabits our world.

Campers Ages 14–16

Welcome to Pathways of the High Seas, a summer camp experience designed for youth ages 14–16. This guide outlines important policies and expectations to ensure a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for all campers, staff, and guests. Please review this document carefully with your camper prior to the start of camp.

Campers will discover diverse organisms and their equally diverse habitats at Georgia Aquarium, from local ecosystems to the distant arctic and the tiny brine shrimp to the massive whale shark, there is always something to get excited about!
