Help Us Do an Ocean of Good

Georgia Aquarium is a nonprofit committed to inspiring awareness and preservation of our ocean and aquatic animals worldwide. As a 501c3 organization, Georgia Aquarium raises funds towards our mission and goals of research, conservation, education and other programmatic goals.

In order to continue these efforts, we need your help. You can support the work being done in our facility, and in the field, through a tax-deductible contribution to Georgia Aquarium.

We couldn’t do this without you!

Honor or Memorial Giving

Honor or Memorial Giving

Tribute gifts can be made in honor of special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries or holidays. Your gift will support our efforts to fulfill our mission by educating students and guests to promote worldwide conservation of aquatic biodiversity.

Upon receipt of your gift, an acknowledgment of your contribution is immediately issued to the designated recipient. And as with all gifts, we will acknowledge the donor with a thank-you letter containing the appropriate tax language.

Donors of $1,500 or more can choose to have their loved one permanently listed on our memorial wall. These gifts perpetuate the memory of the individual’s life and work and translate into a legacy for future generations.

To speak with someone about making a gift in honor of or in memory of someone, please contact Georgia Aquarium Foundation at or call 404.581.4136.

Charity Navigator Encompass Rating System

Since 2001, Charity Navigator has rated the effectiveness of thousands of nonprofits based on measures of finance, accountability, and transparency through the Star Rating System. While eligibility requirements for a star rating disqualify less established and smaller nonprofits, the Encompass Rating System provides smaller and more recently established nonprofits to be evaluated through the use of available data. The Encompass Rating System is based on a numerical score out of 100 and will live alongside the current Star Rating System. Star-rated charities are not affected by this new system.

We are extremely proud of our 100 out of 100 rating.
