Behind the Seas Tour: Private Voyage

An Exclusive, Private Experience

This is your opportunity for a private tour behind the scenes at Georgia Aquarium.

Looking for a more premium, private experience? Book your own Private Voyage, starting at $550 for up to six people. You’ll be escorted to the topsides of some of our most popular exhibits as well as explore additional areas behind the scenes. Learn more about how we care for our animals as well as our research and conservation efforts worldwide.

In addition to your tour, guests who book a Private Voyage will receive an interactive session with one of our expert Aquarists and a photo souvenir.

Tour Information

  • Tour operates by request only. 7 days advanced notice is required.
  • Pricing: $550 for up to six guests, $75 for each additional guest. Maximum of 10 guests.
  • Tour length is 90 minutes.
  • All ages are welcome on this tour.
  • High heels, food, drinks, and strollers are not permitted on this tour.
  • There are no restroom stops along the tour route.
  • Cameras are allowed, but video recording and live streaming are not allowed.
  • Content is subject to change without notice based on operational needs.
  • Aquarium admission is not included.

  • How can I book my Private Voyage?

    This private tour must be booked at least 7 days in advance. Please click on the above link to request a tour date and time. As this tour involves coordination with multiple departments, not all days will be available. All ages are welcome on our Private Voyage tour. Any guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

  • How many people can attend a tour?

    The initial cost of a Private Voyage, $550, includes up to 6 guests. You may add additional guests for $75 per guest, up to a maximum of 10 guests.

  • What will I see on the Private Voyage tour?

    Your Private Voyage includes visits to the topside of some of our most popular exhibits as well as additional behind the scenes areas, such as our Filtration Room, Veterinary Suite, and other animal holding spaces.

  • Are there any specific clothing restrictions?

    No high heels are allowed on our tours.

  • Do I need to print my online ticket?

    There is no need to print the email or barcodes. Your tour guide will be able to scan your ticket directly from your phone.

  • My picture was taken by the professional photographers on this tour, how can I find it?

    Showtime Pictures will join us at the topside of an exhibit to snap a photo of your group. As you leave the aquarium, you will see our custom photo kiosks in the gift shop where you can view and print your pictures immediately. To order or view them online, please visit mygeorgiaaquarium.com.

  • Are guests permitted to bring food or drinks on the tour?

    Food and drinks are not permitted during the tour.

  • What is your rescheduling/refund policy?

    Date changes must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time of the tour. We do not offer refunds for guests who do not attend their scheduled tour.

    Due to the nature of caring for animals, Georgia Aquarium reserves the right to modify, cancel and/or reschedule programs without notice. Reasonable accommodations will be made to reschedule guests as effectively as possible.
