Cruise from Costa Rica to the Panama Canal

The trip has passed, but stay tuned for more travel opportunities in the future.

Embark on this exciting and unique opportunity to discover the wildlife sanctuaries of Costa Rica and Panama, where geology, climate, and history have all conspired to create worlds quite unlike anything found elsewhere. This 10-day cruise aboard the elegant and brand-new small ship Le Dumont-d’Urville—of the PONANT cruise line fleet—will travel to remote locations, exotic and well-preserved national parks, as well as traverse the man-made marvel of the Panama Canal. You’ll be joined by Nathan Farnau, Georgia Aquarium’s Associate Curator of Fishes and Invertebrates, who will be sharing his expertise on the diverse aquatic life of these ecosystems as well as his passion for birding and nature photography. See scarlet macaws, sloths, and brown-headed spider monkeys on land, in addition to snorkeling and diving in beautiful coral reefs and exploring unique coastal jungle habitats.
